  • It’s been a long time since I’ve had any time for gaming at all, but this past week I’ve actually had time for two gaming sessions which has been awesome.

    Hitman: World of Assassination

It’s my second most played game of all time, so when I finally had time to play a game this one was the first that came to mind. I’m actually missing a ton of achievements so I’ve been working at getting those. I think I managed to pick up the rest of the easy ones now, it’s just all the mastery ones and some hidden ones left. So I’m still less than halfway unfortunately. But that’s okay! I’m excited to work for these ones, hopefully I find the time to continue.

    Medal of Honor (1999)

After seeing a post on Lemmy that someone finished a fan remake of this game, I decided to check it out. I’ve only ever played Airborne from this series, and quite liked my time with that one, and I’m having a blast with this one too. I’m so far two levels into it. No idea how long the game is, but it’s a ton of fun. It’s also got me in the mood for more shooters, but I’ve been out of the FPS scene for years so I don’t know what’s good anymore. If anyone knows of a good single player FPS with good gun controls that’s not owned by EA/doesn’t need a launcher and third party account to access, I’d appreciate it. I used to love Battlefield games, but that’s EA. I also used to love Titanfall, but same issue. Then I thought of the newer Battlefront games, but again, yeah. I don’t want CoD either. I’ve already played DOOM.

  • No, I’ve never even heard of it before. I looked it up, it does look interesting but I think it would be too frantic for me. While I do appreciate a game that is quick, since I don’t really have any time for video games these days, something that requires me to have lightning fast reflexes seems a bit too much for me at this point. On the rare occasion I get to sit down and play a game I want it to be something I don’t have to stress over too much. I happen to be pretty good at souls games so I don’t find them stressful, and otherwise I tend to play slower paced RPGs and stuff.

  • Ah, the roof of Ashina Castle. The boss at the end there is sort of described as the brick wall that basically is the “final exam” that determines if you’re ready for the “real game” so-to-speak. I’d personally recommend doing that boss and Lady Butterfly around the same time, but you could do it in either order or avoid LB entirely if you wanted to. I usually reach both bosses before fighting either, then fight them back to back, that’s just the way that makes the most sense to me, but everyone’s different.

  • I absolutely adore Sekiro but going to it after a different souls game is gonna be tough. It plays very differently from every other souls game, to the point that a lot of folks would consider it to not be a souls game. The combat is just so unique and if you try to play it like a souls game you’re gonna have a bad time. With that being said, it also has my favourite combat system I’ve ever played and once you learn it, it’s so satisfying to play. I would still highly recommend it, but don’t go into it thinking it’ll play like Bloodborne or Elden Ring or something.

  • Seeing all the awards it’s won, I’m honestly surprised it isn’t more popular. I don’t know what their sales numbers are obviously, but no one I’ve mentioned it to has ever heard of it before. I first discovered it at a restaurant that specializes in beer varieties, the server said it doesn’t get picked much but it’s one of, if not the best beer on the menu. I looked it up a bit more after trying it and really liking it, and saw it had a ton of awards and there was a beer magazine that called it the best in the world, so I thought I’d look for it figuring it would be popular, but apparently not. Maybe it’s big in Belgium, I’m not sure, but it’s definitely hard to find where I live.
