“State-sponsored malicious hackers preying on America’s critical infrastructure will be stopped and prosecuted. We are here to ensure security for the American people and will use every tool we have to keep that promise.”
If there is one thing Todd Blanche does well it’s keep his promises. I’m surprised this isn’t classified as an act of war. I guess stealing data is nothing new though.

Maybe someone needs a Mastodon sports feed and then to post those articles here consistently.

Article is paywalled but here is my take going off only the title of the article.
China wants to gather all the information they can so they are prepared for war against the United States.
The United States will continue to drain its resources into the war in Iran. The same way Russia has done this with Ukraine.
The USA will keep pissing off it’s allies and the rest of the world.
When China feels confident they can beat the USA in a war, they will take back Taiwan.
The USA can’t fight 2 expensive wars simultaneously but they have no choice and need help quickly.
Large scale draft happens in USA and they still lose everything.

That’s going to hurt. $400 mill is 5-6 days of profit for tick tick…
On a side note, when ticktock pays this $400 fine, where does that money go and what is it put towards? I’m guessing it’s not put towards the countries debt.

They are also ultra processed. They probably don’t really even have to wrap them in that fake foil wrap because they are gonna stay exactly the same without it.

Reddit has significantly upvotes and comments on their content. It didn’t matter when I would post, my comments would usually get ignored and generally downvoted for no reason. When I post here I have way more interaction with people and their responses are unique.
I’m not saying there aren’t bots here. It just isn’t the same as Reddit.

It’s the last of a dying breed.

It’s not overrun with bots like Reddit
DOGE must have gutted those involved in overseeing this then right?

This is the type of thing I experience every time I need to google something now-a-days. Welcome to the new world DuckDuckGo.
Ai need human input from somewhere and the fediverse is the last goldmine left.
Haha I’d join but I don’t know how. I don’t fully understand Lemmy
Should we tell the real story?

It seems like the bad education is by design (minus Covid times). I think an instant improvement people would see would be to fund the hiring of more teachers and ensure teachers are all making a decent wage.
If we are to keep class sizes 20-30 students then it would be appropriate to have 2-3 teachers in the classroom. I’m mainly referring to elementary schools here because kids need time to develop focus and studying skills.
Extra staff gives students the opportunity to get more person teaching when needed and also allows teachers more free time to focus on teaching. If a teacher had to get to school early to oversee students on the playground before school, then helps with drop off/pickup after school and then has to go home and grade papers that night, they won’t have time and energy to improve their lessons. The system as a whole seems broken but I’m just an idiot like yourself lol. This is my outside perspective.

You’re probably right. I just hate that teachers have to ask for basic school supply donations to do their job. For example, glue sticks aren’t something a kindergarten teacher should ever need to worry they will run out of. Give these people the resources to be successful. What do you think needs to change?

Less education funding. Inflation. Schools closing. Low teacher pay. Large class sizes. National funding being tied to standardized testing.
Whenever school funding is on the ballot in my state, it rarely passes. Kids and teachers do not have the resources they need to be successful and it will continue to get worse until the president makes it a point to improve it. This is far from a new problem though. The government wants our nation to be full of people with below average intellect. I don’t see any other reason not to invest in everyone’s future.
